When I'm in New York, I spend a lot more time walking. (You have to be crazy to drive in Manhattan.) This Classic Clear Bubble Umbrella by Totes will keep you dry from the subway to the museum to the book store, etc., etc., etc.!
It keeps you dry, it doesn't block your vision, and the best part is that it keeps other people's umbrella's out of your face!
Be advised, you should let it dry off if you are closing it up for the rest of the day. The plastic can get kind of stuck together a bit because of the trapped dampness. But, it dries naturally in a very short time.
If you want a really GOOD umbrella, the Classic Clear Bubble Umbrella by Totes is absolutely the one to own.

My husband got this for me for Christmas after hearing for some time that I needed a new one that actually provided good coverage while still looking good. Finally got to use it today and it is perfect. Sturdy contruction even in wind. My hair and handbag both actually stayed dry on the walk to work.

The large, clear bubble umbrella is excellent for an individual caught in a heavy downpour. With the ability of added safety by seeing 360 degrees through the umbrella, you can avoid dangers, and because of the specialized style design, not be concerned about a strong gust of wind forcing the top of the umbrella up into the air. A great way of keeping you dry and safer when you most need it.

My daughter attends UNC Wilmington and loves this umbrella. She says it is perfect for walking around campus with the strong wind and rain. She also wears rain boots and rain jacket, but the wind blows rain under her hood so this works out perfect and now she stays dry!

I purchased this umbrella for my friend who loaned hers to me at a funeral. The wind caught it and destroyed the one she loaned. A lady walked up carrying a clear umbrella...she looked smart because she could see as she walked and the wind was not a factor due to the heavy construction. I love the bubble umbrellas. They completely cover you in the rain and you can easily see out from under it since it is clear. The kids bubble is fully functional for an adult also - just smaller. I have both sizes. I keep one in my car, one at work, and I have a couple at home. The best product.
